How to Build, Sell, and Onboard Sparkforge SaaS Plans
SaaS plans in Sparkforge are configured inside an Agency Sub-Account, sold through funnels, order forms, or payment links, and auto-provision a new sub-account on every successful subscription. Stripe, NMI, Authorize.net, and Square are supported for subscription payments.
SaaS Mode lets you sell Sparkforge as your own subscription product. Plans live inside an Agency Sub-Account, sales run through standard payment flows, and onboarding is automatic — once a customer pays, their sub-account is created and they get the welcome email.
Supported payment processors
SaaS Mode supports Stripe, NMI, Authorize.net, and Square for subscription payments. The Payments module inside your Agency Sub-Account holds the customer and subscription records and connects to your processor.
What is an Agency Sub-Account?
The Agency Sub-Account is a sub-account you own and use for internal operations. Customers should not have access to it. Best practice: spin up a fresh sub-account dedicated to SaaS Mode. You can run more than one if you want to segment plans or processors.
Section 1: Set up the SaaS Configurator
Step 1: Pick your Agency Sub-Account(s)
At the agency level, go to SaaS Configurator > Configure and click Select Sub-Accounts. Pick the sub-account from the dropdown and click Add Sub-Account.
Step 2: Create SaaS plans
Option 1 — From the SaaS Configurator
- Click Add Your Plan.
- Pick the location (the configured Agency Sub-Account) where the product lives.
- You will be redirected to that sub-account's Payments module to finish configuration.
Depending on your account, you may continue inside the SaaS Configurator via a guided checklist or finish configuration directly in Payments. If you see the checklist, follow it through payment connection, currency, plan creation, and sale link generation.
Note: When you generate a SaaS checkout link from the Configurator, Sparkforge reuses an existing payment link for the same SaaS product when one exists. New links are only created when needed. The hosted checkout supports card payments only for subscription setup — non-card methods may fail SaaS enablement.
Option 2 — From the Payments module
- Switch to the agency sub-account and open the Payments tab.
- Click New Product.
Step 3: Configure the plan
- On the product configuration screen, toggle Use as SaaS Product on. The SaaS section appears.
- Add the basics — title, description.
- In Pricing, set monthly and annual prices and any trial periods.
- In SaaS, configure features, usage limits, complimentary credits, rebilling, and reselling.
Complimentary credits and trial timing
If the plan includes complimentary credits, choose when they are issued:
- Immediately on sign-up (default).
- After the trial ends — toggle Add credits after trial period ends on. Credits are not issued during the trial; the first batch is granted on trial conversion, then aligned to the billing cycle.
Step 4: Save the plan
Add a one-time setup fee
- Save the product with Use as SaaS Product toggled on, then reopen it for editing. The Pricing section becomes editable in detail.
- Under Edit Product > Pricing, click on Monthly or Yearly.
- In the variant settings, change the Setup Fee field to add a one-time charge alongside the recurring price. Save.
Section 2: Selling SaaS plans
SaaS plans sell through the same channels as any other Payments product:
- Order forms
- Payment links
- The payment element inside a funnel
Section 3: Onboarding clients
Onboarding is automatic. The moment a subscription is created on a SaaS product, Sparkforge:
- Provisions a new sub-account configured to the matching SaaS plan.
- Emails the client a welcome message with their login URL and password setup steps.
The welcome email template is fully customizable from the Configurator.
