How to Connect Google Sheets to the Sparkforge Knowledge Base

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Sparkforge can pull data from a connected Google Sheet into the Knowledge Base. Auto-sync runs every ~15 minutes, or you can trigger a manual refresh whenever you update the sheet.

Sparkforge lets you connect a Google Sheet as a live data source for your Knowledge Base. Instead of re-uploading spreadsheet files, the Knowledge Base pulls updated values from the sheet so AI agents reference current data.

What this is good for

Use Google Sheets sync when you maintain structured data that changes regularly:

  • Pricing tables
  • Operating or support hours
  • Service availability
  • Location-specific details
  • Internal reference data shared across a team

Sync options

Auto sync (~15 minutes)

Sparkforge polls the connected sheet roughly every 15 minutes and pulls in new values, added or removed rows, and column changes. Use this when content changes throughout the day and AI agents should reference the latest version.

Manual refresh

Triggers an immediate pull from the sheet. Use this when you want changes live right after editing, or when you only want to push reviewed updates.

How to set it up

  1. From your sub-account, open AI Agents and go to the Knowledge Base tab.
  2. Open an existing Knowledge Base or create a new one.
  3. Click Tables, then Import from Google Sheets.
  4. If no Google account is connected, set up the Google connection using the standard Google Drive permissions Sparkforge already uses. No extra scopes are required.
  5. Pick the connected Google account and browse to the spreadsheet.
  6. Select the sheet you want to import.
  7. Review the columns and assign data types, similar to a CSV upload.
  8. Start the import and wait for processing to complete.
  9. Leave auto-sync enabled to keep the Knowledge Base updated. Use manual refresh when you need changes live immediately.

What changes can sync

  • Updated cell values
  • New or removed rows
  • Added or removed columns
