Number Pool Management for Visitor Tracking in Sparkforge
Number pools power dynamic number insertion (DNI) for visitor tracking in Sparkforge. The management tools let you move numbers between pools, remove without deleting, audit changes, and reorganize without filing a support ticket.
Number pools drive dynamic number insertion (DNI) so each visitor sees a tracked phone number tied to their source. Sparkforge’s pool management gives you direct control over how those numbers are organized, moved, and audited.
What number pool management covers
The tools sit inside the visitor-tracking section of the phone system. You can:
- Move a number from one pool to another without releasing it.
- Remove a number from a pool without deleting it from your account.
- Delete a number permanently when you’re done with it.
- Reassign numbers across pools in bulk.
- Review every change in the audit log.
Move a number between pools
- Open the Phone System and select Number Pools.
- Click into the source pool.
- Select the number(s) you want to move.
- Click Move and pick the destination pool.
- Confirm. The number is now serving DNI for the new pool.
Remove vs. delete
Remove pulls a number out of a pool but keeps it on your account, so you can reassign it later. Delete releases the number permanently — it cannot be restored. Use remove unless you actually want to give up the number.
Audit log
Every action (move, remove, delete, reassign) is recorded with the user, action, and timestamp. Use it to investigate routing issues or verify changes during campaign QA.
Deleting a pool
Deleting a pool removes every number inside it. To preserve those numbers, move or remove them first, then delete the empty pool.
