How to Delete or Reset a Twilio Number in Sparkforge
From Settings > Phone Numbers, click the trash icon, type Delete to remove, then choose whether to keep webhooks or fully release the number back to the carrier.
This applies only to sub-accounts that bring their own Twilio account. Removing a phone number this way permanently releases it back to Twilio if you choose Release — anyone can purchase it next.
Delete the phone number
- Open the sub-account and click Settings (bottom left).
- Click Phone Numbers.
- Find the number, click the trash icon next to it.
- Type
Deletein the confirmation field, then click Confirm Delete.
Keep the number or release it
After confirming the delete, Sparkforge asks how to handle the underlying Twilio number:
- Keep the number in Twilio (No): click NO. The number stays in your Twilio sub-account with its webhooks intact — useful when you plan to reattach it later.
- Release the number: type
Releaseand click Confirm Release. Twilio gives the number up immediately — not recoverable.
Restore a number you kept
If you chose No (keep in Twilio), the number is still in your Twilio account. To put it back into Sparkforge with fresh webhooks, click Add on the Phone Numbers page and reassign it.
Released numbers cannot be restored. If you need that exact number back, contact Twilio — sometimes they can recover a recently released number, but never assume it.
