Custom Payment Providers for Sparkforge SaaS Mode

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Custom Payment Providers let SaaS Mode agencies install a payment app from the Marketplace and use it for sub-account checkout, plan attachment, recurring billing, and wallet top-ups. It opens up regions where Stripe and Square are not available.

Custom Payment Providers in SaaS Mode let agencies pick the gateway that fits their market instead of being limited to native Stripe or Square. Install a provider app, point SaaS Mode at it, and checkouts will spin up sub-accounts, attach plans, and bill on schedule.

What It Does

  • Choose from 50+ payment providers in the App Marketplace.
  • Sell SaaS in regions where Stripe and Square do not operate.
  • Auto-create sub-accounts and attach the chosen SaaS plan on successful checkout.
  • Bill recurring subscriptions and recharge wallets through the same provider.
  • Resell add-ons (AI Employee, WordPress, Marketplace apps) using sub-account wallet credit.

Setup

Step 1: Mark an Agency Sub-Account

  1. From Agency View open Sub-Accounts.
  2. Find the sub-account you will use for agency billing.
  3. Click the three-dots menu and choose Add as agency sub-account.

Step 2: Install a Payment Provider App

  1. Open the App Marketplace from agency view.
  2. Search by provider name or browse the Payments category.
  3. Click Install and add it to your agency sub-account.

Step 3: Configure the Integration

Open the provider settings and enter the credentials it needs (typically an Account ID and an API token), then save. Each provider documents its own required fields.

Step 4: Create and Sell SaaS Products

  1. Inside the agency sub-account, create a SaaS product.
  2. Share the payment link or embed checkout in a funnel.
  3. On a successful checkout, Sparkforge creates a new sub-account and attaches the chosen SaaS plan.

Step 5: Convert Existing Sub-Accounts to SaaS

  1. Open Sub-Accounts → Manage Client.
  2. Go to SaaS → Add SaaS Subscription.
  3. Select the integrated payment provider and the plan to apply, then confirm.

Step 6: Wallet and Add-On Handling

  • Wallet top-ups: Auto-recharge or manual recharge are both supported.
  • Add-on reselling: Add-ons such as AI Employee, WordPress, and Marketplace apps are charged against sub-account wallet credit, not the customer card.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why use a custom payment provider instead of Stripe?
Native Stripe and Square cover a limited set of regions. Custom providers let you sell SaaS in markets where those gateways are not supported or are too expensive.
Does the agency sub-account have to be a real client account?
No. The agency sub-account is a billing-only sub-account you mark from the agency view. It hosts your payment apps, SaaS products, and checkout configuration.
What happens at checkout?
Sparkforge creates a new sub-account, attaches the chosen SaaS plan, and starts the recurring subscription on the configured provider. The buyer never has to set up the sub-account manually.
How are add-ons billed?
Add-ons such as AI Employee or WordPress draw from sub-account wallet credit, not the saved card. Top up the wallet manually or enable auto-recharge.
Can I move existing clients onto a custom provider?
Yes. From Sub-Accounts → Manage Client, open the SaaS tab and add a SaaS subscription using the integrated provider and the plan you want.
