How to Use Custom Conversation Providers on Mobile
Custom conversation providers installed from the Sparkforge App Marketplace appear in the mobile Conversations tab, so you can message leads on additional SMS or email channels alongside the natively supported ones.
What custom conversation providers are
Sparkforge supports a set of native conversation channels (for example, WhatsApp). Custom conversation providers are extra SMS or email channels installed from the Sparkforge App Marketplace and surfaced inside the mobile Conversations tab.
How to install a custom provider
- Open Agency Account > App Marketplace.
- Filter Categories by Email or SMS.
- Pick the provider you want and click Install.
- Select the subaccounts to install into and click Continue.
- Review the requested permissions and click Allow & Install.
- Follow any provider-specific steps to finish setup, such as supplying an API key.
Confirm the integration is active under Subaccount > Settings > Conversation Providers.
Where to find custom conversations on mobile
- Open the mobile app and go to Conversations.
- Tap New to start a conversation. Custom providers appear alongside native channels.
- Inside an existing conversation, switch the channel from the conversation mode selector to send the next message through a custom provider instead.
Building your own provider
To build an app for the Sparkforge App Marketplace, start with the developer marketplace at marketplace.sparkforge.com.
Why this matters
Customers reach you on the channel they prefer, not the channel you offer. Custom conversation providers let you meet them there without switching apps, and every message stays attached to the contact record so the next agent or AI assist has full context.
