How to Run Multiple Chat Widgets in One Sparkforge Sub-Account
Sparkforge lets you create multiple chat widgets in a single sub-account and assign them site-wide or page-by-page. Different funnels can run different widgets without separate code installs.
Multiple Chat Widgets let you run several widgets in one Sparkforge sub-account, each with its own branding, channels, and behavior. Use this to give different funnels or sites the right conversation experience without creating separate accounts.
What you get
- Targeted experience: different designs and channels per site or funnel.
- No reinstall: widget changes deploy automatically — no code redeploy.
- Independent updates: change one widget without touching others.
- Flexible placement: set a default widget for a whole site or override per page.
Create the widgets first
You need the widgets in place before assigning them. Skip this section if you already have multiple widgets created.
- Go to Sites > Chat Widget.
- Click the blue + New button.
- Select the chat widget type you want to create.
Set a site-wide chat widget
Site-level selection applies one widget to the entire site or funnel.
- Go to Sites > Websites or Funnels and open the site you want to edit.
- Open the Settings tab.
- Use the Chat Widget dropdown to pick the widget for the site.
Assign a per-page chat widget
Use a code embed when you only want a widget on specific pages or funnel steps.
- Go to Sites > Websites or Funnels and open the site.
- In Settings, set the Chat Widget dropdown to None and save.
- Go to Sites > Chat Widgets, open the widget you want, click Get Code, and copy the snippet.
- Open the page editor for the target page or funnel step. Click Add Element (+), find Code, and drag it onto the canvas.
- Select the Code element, click Open Code Editor, paste the snippet, and save.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to reinstall code after style or setting changes?
No. The widget updates automatically.
What happens if I configure both Settings and a page-level code embed?
The Settings selection wins. Only the widget chosen in Settings will display.
Does the All-in-One Chat Widget replace multiple widgets?
No. The All-in-One option centralizes channels in one widget, but you can still run multiple widgets when you want different designs or CTAs per page or site.
How do I check the live widget on a page?
Use the editor's Preview to see which widget is active.
