How to Connect Google Business Profile and Facebook in Sparkforge Listings

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Connect Google Business Profile and Facebook Page from inside Sparkforge Listings to keep hours, photos, and reviews in sync. Sparkforge reuses any OAuth token already authorized in Social Planner.

Sparkforge Listings connects directly to Google Business Profile (GBP) and Facebook Page through OAuth, so each location's hours, address, photos, and reviews stay synced without bouncing between dashboards.

Before You Start

  • Admin or Owner role on the Google Business Profile you're connecting.
  • Page Admin rights on the Facebook Page you're connecting.
  • Browser pop-up blocker disabled for the session (the OAuth flow opens a pop-up).
  • If GBP or Facebook is already authorized in Social Planner, Listings reuses that token — no second sign-in needed.

Connect Google Business Profile and Facebook

1. Open Listings

  1. From the Sparkforge dashboard, click Reputation in the left nav.
  2. Click Listings.
  3. Under Your Account, click "Your Entities are not set up on Google and Facebook yet. Link Now."

2. Connect Google Business Profile

  1. Click Connect next to Connect Google Business Profile.
  2. Sign in with the Google account that manages the GBP listing.
  3. Grant the requested access on the consent screen.

3. Connect Facebook Page

  1. Click Connect next to Connect Facebook Page.
  2. Pick the correct Facebook Page in the permissions dialog.
  3. Approve every requested permission and click Continue.

4. Confirm

Return to the Listings dashboard. Both publishers should show a green Connected badge. If a publisher shows Action Required, repeat the connect flow for that publisher.

What Stays in Sync

  • Business name, hours, address, and phone number.
  • Photos and cover images uploaded through Listings.
  • Inbound reviews from GBP and Facebook surfaced inside Reputation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this also authorize Social Planner?
Yes. Sparkforge uses one OAuth token per provider, so connecting in Listings authorizes Social Planner as well, and vice versa.
Can a location have more than one Facebook Page or GBP?
No. Each location supports one Facebook Page and one Google Business Profile.
Do Social Planner posts publish to my GBP automatically?
Only when you select GBP as a destination on each scheduled post. Connecting the publisher does not auto-publish.
What happens if I disconnect a publisher?
Listings stops syncing immediately and flags the publisher as Action Required until you reconnect.
Do agency users need access to the client's Facebook account?
No. A location-level user with Page Admin rights on the Facebook Page can complete the connection without granting agency access.
