By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Sparkforge CRM Smart Lists now include a Community Groups filter that segments contacts by their community membership, with no manual tagging needed.

The Community Groups filter in CRM Smart Lists segments your contacts by their community group membership. Pull together everyone in a specific group in a few clicks, then run targeted campaigns or follow-ups.

What the filter does

Instead of tagging contacts manually, the filter pulls live group membership data from your communities. You can:

  • Segment contacts by one or more community groups
  • Build targeted campaigns and personalized comms
  • Combine with other filters (tags, custom fields, activity) for refined lists

How to use the Community Groups filter

  1. Go to Contacts > Smart Lists.
  2. Click Filters in the top panel.
  3. Find the Groups filter under Client Portal, or type "community" or "Client Portal" in the search bar.
  4. Click Groups and select the community group(s) you want.
  5. Your Smart List now shows only contacts who belong to the selected groups.

What this unlocks

  • Targeted campaigns: send personalized messages to specific groups
  • Time savings: skip manual tagging
  • Cleaner lists: organized by community structure
  • Better engagement: messaging matches the segment
