Bot Goals in Sparkforge Conversation AI: Complete Setup Guide

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Bot Goals replaces the old Configure Intent feature in Sparkforge Conversation AI. Run multiple bots for different jobs (Q&A, appointment booking), customize prompts per bot, and hand off to another bot after a goal completes.

Bot Goals is the updated way to configure Conversation AI bots in Sparkforge. The major change: you can run multiple bots, each with its own prompt and purpose, and hand off between them when a goal completes.

What changed

  • Multiple bots: The old version supported one bot. The new version lets you create separate bots for different jobs — one for general Q&A, another for appointment booking, another for sales triage.
  • Test Your Bot: The former Bot Trial feature is now part of the unified Bot Goals experience.
  • New sub-features: Trigger a Workflow and Update Contact Info live inside Bot Goals.

Step 1: open Bot Goals

Create a new bot or edit an existing one. New bots need a name before you proceed.

Step 2: navigate the bot interface

An open bot has three tabs:

  • Bot Settings: unchanged from the previous version.
  • Bot Training: unchanged.
  • Bot Goals: the new tab. Holds the prompt and sub-features for shaping bot behavior.

Step 3: customize the bot's goals

Inside Bot Goals, the Prompt section is where you write or edit the AI prompt. Each goal needs its own bot and its own prompt — if you want a separate behavior for a new goal, create a new bot for it.

Sub-features inside Bot Goals

Appointment Booking

The new Transfer Employee Post Appointment Booking option hands the conversation off to another bot once an appointment is booked. Pick the next bot from a dropdown so the conversation continues smoothly.

Trigger a Workflow

Lets the bot fire a Sparkforge workflow when a defined condition is met during the conversation.

Add Contact Info

Lets the bot capture details like address or business name during the chat and write them to the contact record.

Step 4: save and go live

Click Save after updating the prompt and configuration. The bot goes live with the new behavior immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I run more than one bot at the same time?
Yes. Bot Goals supports multiple bots, each with its own prompt and purpose. Use one for Q&A, another for appointments, another for sales triage.
Where did the Bot Trial feature go?
It is now Test Your Bot, integrated into Bot Goals. The standalone tab is gone.
Do I need a new bot for every goal?
Yes. Each goal you want the AI to pursue needs a dedicated bot with its own prompt. Bots hand off to each other after completing their goal.
What does Transfer Employee Post Appointment Booking do?
After a bot books an appointment, this option transfers the conversation to a different bot you select from a dropdown, so the right bot handles the next phase.
