How to Dismiss Missing Info Alerts on Entity Profiles
Sparkforge now lets you dismiss Missing Info alerts for fields that don't apply to a business (like TikTok or YouTube URLs). Dismissed fields are excluded from profile completeness scoring and can be re-enabled anytime.
You can now dismiss Missing Info alerts on the entity detail screen for fields that don't apply to a business, like TikTok URL or YouTube page. Profile scoring updates to reflect only relevant fields.
Why this matters
- Cleaner UX: Alerts stop cluttering with irrelevant missing fields.
- Personalized control: Agencies and businesses decide what's relevant instead of fighting a one-size-fits-all template.
- Accurate scores: Dismissed fields are excluded from completeness scoring, so the score reflects actual completion.
- Reversible: Re-enable any dismissed field at any time.
How to dismiss alerts
- Open any location or entity profile.
- In the Missing Info section, click Configure on the Profile Health Card.
- In the modal, select all the fields that don't apply.
- Confirm. The alerts disappear and the profile score updates.
Re-enable a dismissed field
- Open the Profile Health Card and click Configure.
- Re-enable any field you want to track again.
- The field returns to alerts and profile scoring.
How profile score is calculated
Dismissed fields are excluded from both the numerator and denominator of profile completeness. If 2 fields are dismissed from a 10-field profile, the score is calculated as Completed / 8.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens to my profile score when I dismiss a field?
Dismissed fields are excluded from both the numerator and denominator. The score recalculates against only the fields you mark as relevant.
Can I re-enable a dismissed field?
Yes. Click Configure on the Profile Health Card and re-enable the field. It returns to alerts and profile scoring.
Which fields can I dismiss?
Any field that's not applicable to the business, including social URLs like TikTok or YouTube. Required system fields can't be dismissed.
Does dismissing a field delete its data?
No. Dismissing only hides the alert and removes the field from scoring. Any existing value stays in place.
