If/Else Workflow Action Upgrades in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

The If/Else workflow action now ships pre-built Scenario Recipes, cleaner branch summaries, 15-minute Time of Day conditions, and drag-and-drop branch reordering.

If/Else is the workhorse of conditional logic in Sparkforge workflows. Recent upgrades cut the setup time and make complex branch logic easier to read at a glance.

Scenario Recipes

Pre-built If/Else templates cover common scenarios. Open the recipe dropdown, pick one of the 10 templates, and Sparkforge will flag any prerequisites you need to add before the recipe runs cleanly.

Branch summaries and isolation

  • Each branch shows a short text summary of its conditions on the canvas.
  • Branches with multiple conditions show +x more conditions; click to see the full list in a popup.
  • Click a branch to isolate it for editing while the others collapse, so you focus on one path at a time.
  • Drag and drop branches to reorder them.

Time of Day condition

The previous Current Hour condition only let you target whole hours. The new Time of Day option under Date and Time lets you set 15-minute intervals, so you can branch on, say, 2:15 PM versus 2:30 PM. Sparkforge shows a plain-language description of each selected value to make the condition easier to verify.

Refreshed UI

The Branch Configuration screen is streamlined and the Condition Dropdown supports search, so finding the right condition is faster on workflows with many branches.
