Manus Actions and Triggers in Sparkforge Workflows

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Manus actions and triggers run task-based AI directly inside Sparkforge Workflows. Create tasks, store the returned Task ID, then continue, fetch, update, or delete tasks from later workflow steps.

Manus is a task-based AI system. Each task starts with a prompt, runs structured AI logic, and returns an output. Tasks can be continued with follow-up prompts inside the same lifecycle. The Sparkforge integration runs all of that from inside Workflows.

Two-way automation

  • Sparkforge to Manus: create, update, continue, fetch, or delete AI tasks from workflow actions.
  • Manus to Sparkforge: trigger a workflow when a Manus task is created or stopped.

Prerequisites

  • Access to Automation → Workflows in the sub-account.
  • Premium Workflow features enabled at the agency level if required.
  • Active Manus subscription with a valid API key.

Connect your Manus account

From the workflow builder

  1. Open Automation → Workflows and add a Manus action or trigger.
  2. Click Connect Now and sign in to Manus to approve access.

From the integrations page

Go to Sub-Account Settings → Integrations → Manus → Connect.

Get your Manus API key

  1. Open Manus API Settings.
  2. Click Create New.
  3. Copy the generated key.
  4. Paste it into the API key field when prompted.

Available triggers (Manus to Sparkforge)

TriggerFires when
New Task CreatedA new task is created in Manus
Task StoppedA Manus task is stopped or completed

Triggers fire instantly but only for tasks created through Sparkforge workflows. Tasks created inside the Manus app directly will not trigger workflows.

Available actions (Sparkforge to Manus)

ActionDescription
Create TaskCreate a new task in Manus
Get TaskRetrieve details of a specific task
Update TaskModify task metadata or parameters
Fetch TasksRetrieve a list of tasks
Delete TaskRemove a task
Continue a Task with a PromptAdd a follow-up prompt to an existing task

Always store the Task ID

Every Create Task action returns a Task ID. Store it in a custom contact or opportunity field. You'll need it for Get Task, Continue Task with Prompt, Update Task, and Delete Task. Without storing it, downstream steps fail or reference the wrong task.

Build a workflow with Manus

  1. Open Automation → Workflows and click + Create Workflow.
  2. Select a trigger (Manus or any other workflow trigger).
  3. Add a Manus action like Create Task.
  4. Map merge fields: {{contact.first_name}}, {{contact.email}}, {{opportunity.name}}, {{custom_values}}.
  5. Store the returned Task ID in a custom field.
  6. Add conditions or Wait steps.
  7. Test, then publish.
