Sparkforge Email is the built-in email service provider for every sub-account. It costs $0.675 per 1,000 emails, ramps daily limits over the first seven days, and supports shared or dedicated domains.

Sparkforge Email is the built-in email service provider that sends and receives messages from every sub-account. There is no Mailgun or SendGrid signup, no DNS juggling between platforms, and no third-party invoice to reconcile. It is on by default for new accounts and works with minimal setup.

What Sparkforge Email is

Sparkforge Email is hosted inside the platform. It handles deliverability, error monitoring, and compliance, so messages are more likely to reach the inbox than they would through a generic SMTP relay. It is also less expensive than most third-party email service providers.

If you are migrating from a third-party SMTP, follow the migration guide for step-by-step setup.

Pricing

  • Sending: $0.675 per 1,000 emails (all plans)
  • Email verification: $2.50 per 1,000 verifications
  • Forwarding: billed at the same rate as outbound sending

All incoming and outgoing emails (including To, CC, and BCC) incur charges. View transactions under Agency View > Billing > Credits.

Forwarding billing detail

Forwarded emails appear with a Billing Source Type and a unique Billing Trigger ID under Settings > Billing > Wallets & Transactions > Detailed Transactions. If sub-account rebilling is enabled, each forwarded email is charged to the sub-account.

Ramp-Up Model

Every new sub-account ramps daily sending limits over the first seven days to build sender reputation and avoid spam filters.

DayDaily Email Limit
1250
2500
31,000
42,500
55,000
67,500
710,000
Day 8+ (shared domain)150,000
Day 8+ (dedicated domain)450,000

The daily counter resets at 00:00:01 UTC. If the limit is hit before reset, sending is locked until the next window.

Extending the sending limit

  • Shared IP: 250 to 15,000 per day. To go higher, configure a dedicated sending domain on the sub-account.
  • Dedicated IP: 250 to 450,000 per day. To raise this further, contact support.

To adjust limits, go to Agency View > Sub-Accounts, open the sub-account, and scroll to Additional Settings.

Errors when scheduling a send

If a scheduled send would exceed the current daily limit, Sparkforge surfaces an inline error before the send is queued. To resolve:

  1. Reduce the recipient list, or split the send into smaller batches.
  2. If higher throughput is needed long-term, configure a dedicated domain and follow the ramp-up model above.

Rebilling clients

Pro-plan agencies can rebill email usage to sub-accounts automatically. Rebilling works whether the sub-account is on Sparkforge Email or a connected third-party SMTP.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Sparkforge Email HIPAA compliant?
Yes. There is a signed BAA with the underlying carrier for HIPAA compliance. The HIPAA compliance package must be enabled on the account.
Can I still use a third-party SMTP like SendGrid?
Yes. New accounts default to Sparkforge Email, but a third-party SMTP can be connected at any time from sub-account email settings.
Why is my sub-account capped at 15,000 emails per day?
A sub-account without a dedicated domain is treated as shared, even if the agency has a dedicated domain. Add a dedicated domain to the sub-account to lift the cap.
Where do I see a client's email usage?
Go to Agency Settings > Billing > See Details under Credits. Usage is itemized per sub-account.
Does cold email work on Sparkforge Email?
Yes, with the same compliance and content rules that apply to any sender. Volume should follow the ramp-up schedule on a fresh domain.
