How to Enable and Rebill Sparkforge Email Validation

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Sparkforge Email Validation runs every email address through verification before send to protect your sender score. Turn it on at agency or sub-account level, optionally re-verify every 90 days, and rebill clients on Unlimited (1.05x fixed) or Pro (1.05x to 10x). Cost: $2.50 per 1,000.

Email Validation checks email addresses before Sparkforge sends to them. The service blocks fake and inactive addresses, which protects your sender reputation and improves delivery rates. It runs on Sparkforge Email and Mailgun.

Enable Email Validation at agency level

  1. Open Agency > Settings.
  2. Go to Email Services > Location Settings > Email Verification.
  3. Toggle Email Verification on for individual sub-accounts or all of them at once.
  4. Optional: in Advanced Settings, check Automatically enable email verification for new sub-accounts.

Enable at sub-account level

  1. Open Sub-account > Settings.
  2. Go to Business Profile > General.
  3. Check Verify email.

When a sub-account user enables verification, all active agency admins and the company's registered email get a notification (Sparkforge Email only).

Turn on 90-day re-verification

Email quality decays. Re-verifying every 90 days catches addresses that have gone bad before they hurt your sending score.

  1. Open Agency > Sub-accounts and click the three-dot menu on the sub-account card.
  2. Pick Manage Client.
  3. Go to Advanced Settings > Advanced Email Settings.
  4. Check Enable Re-verification for 90 days.

Pricing and rebilling

Sparkforge charges $2.50 per 1,000 verifications across all plans. That's well below industry standard (Mailgun runs ~$12/1,000).

Configure rebilling in SaaS Configurator > Plan Details > Rebilling:

  • Starter: rebilling not available.
  • Unlimited: fixed 1.05x markup only.
  • Pro: markup between 1.05x and 10x.

Audit individual charges

  1. Open Agency > Settings.
  2. Go to Billing > Wallet & Transactions > Detailed Transactions.
  3. Filter to Email Verification to see every itemized execution.

How verification runs

Once active, Sparkforge verifies each email address before the first send if it isn't already verified. With 90-day re-verification on, the verification expires after 90 days and the address is rechecked before the next send.

Manual check from a contact record

  1. Open Sub-account > Contacts.
  2. Click into a contact.
  3. Expand the Contact section and scroll to the Email field.

Statuses:

  • Not Verified — never tested.
  • Invalid — failed verification.
  • Verified — passed verification.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Email Validation actually check?
Whether the syntax is valid, the domain accepts mail, the mailbox exists, the address is not high-risk, and whether it's a role-based address like info@ or admin@. It also checks Mailgun's bad-list.
How much does it cost?
$2.50 per 1,000 verifications across every Sparkforge plan. Mailgun and other vendors typically charge $12 per 1,000.
Why is my new sub-account auto-verifying emails?
If a sub-account is less than 30 days old and the imported list deliverability fell below 90%, Sparkforge enables automatic email verification to protect sender reputation.
Can I rebill clients for verifications?
Yes. On the Unlimited plan, rebilling is fixed at 1.05x. On Pro, markup is configurable between 1.05x and 10x. Starter does not support rebilling.
When should I verify a list?
Always verify lists you've inherited or imported, lists that have grown significantly, or lists you haven't sent to in a while.
