How Sender Domains Work in Sparkforge Email Campaigns

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Sparkforge's per-campaign sender domain settings make sure your From email aligns with a verified sending domain so campaigns authenticate, avoid spam filters, and clear delivery checks before sending.

Sender domains decide which domain sends an email campaign and whether the From email is valid and compliant. Aligning the two prevents send failures, protects domain reputation, and improves inbox placement. Sender domain behavior applies to Sparkforge Email locations only — SMTP-based sending follows its existing flow.

What sender domain settings do

Sender Domain Settings show up when you send or schedule a campaign under Marketing → Emails → Campaigns. They confirm the sending domain, validate the sender email in real time, and block campaigns that fail compliance checks. Once you send or schedule a campaign, the selected sender domain is locked for that campaign.

Why it matters

  • Fewer send failures: Mismatched sender domains and emails get caught before send time.
  • Better deliverability: Domain alignment helps providers authenticate messages.
  • Per-campaign control: Pick the right domain for each campaign instead of forcing one default.
  • Automatic safeguards: Sparkforge adjusts supported sender emails and warns on issues.
  • Real-time validation: Quick links to fix domain configuration.

Behavior across scenarios

Shared domains (Agency or Sparkforge)

Public addresses like Gmail or Yahoo are supported. Sparkforge auto-adjusts the sender email behind the scenes for compliance, so the campaign sends without extra steps.

Single dedicated domain

If a location has one verified dedicated domain, it is auto-selected at send/schedule time. The sender email must match the domain, and real-time validation catches mismatches.

Multiple dedicated domains

You can pick a specific verified domain or choose All Domains to let Sparkforge rotate sending across eligible domains based on internal rules.

How to configure on a campaign

  1. Go to Marketing → Emails → Campaigns and open a new or existing draft.
  2. In the email campaign builder, click Send or Schedule.
  3. In Sender Details, confirm the Sender Name and Sender Email.
  4. Open the Sender Domain dropdown to see available options for your location.
  5. If a warning or error shows, click Review Domain Configuration to check verification, warm-up, or IP assignment.
  6. Send or schedule the campaign once everything passes. The sender domain is locked at that point.

Warnings vs errors

  • Warning: Potential issue (such as sender email and domain mismatch). The campaign can still send, but matching is recommended.
  • Error: Hard block. The campaign cannot send until the issue is fixed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why am I seeing a warning when my campaign can still send?
Warnings flag deliverability risks, like a sender email that does not match the chosen domain. The send is allowed, but matching reduces spam-filter risk.
What if my sender domain is not verified or warmed up?
The campaign cannot send until the domain is verified and meets readiness requirements. The warning links to the steps you need to complete.
Can I use a different Reply-To than the sender domain?
Yes. Reply-To is independent of the sender domain and can point to any valid email address.
Does selecting All Domains hurt deliverability?
No. Sparkforge only sends from verified, warmed domains and rotates them based on internal rules to manage reputation.
Can I change the sender domain after a campaign sends?
No. Once a campaign is sent or scheduled, the selected sender domain is locked for that campaign.
