How to Search for Opportunities in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

The opportunity search bar filters by name, phone, email, company, tag, or contact name in real time. You need at least three characters and matches start from the beginning of a word, not the middle.

The Opportunities search bar filters your pipeline live as you type. Use it to jump straight to a specific deal instead of scrolling.

Where to find it

  1. Log in to your Sparkforge sub-account.
  2. Click Opportunities in the sidebar.
  3. The search bar sits at the top of the page.

What you can search

  • Opportunity name
  • Phone
  • Email
  • Company
  • Tags
  • Contact name

How matching works

Type your query and Sparkforge filters the list in real time. Two rules to know:

  • Minimum three characters. Search doesn't fire until you've typed at least three.
  • Prefix match only. Search looks at the start of words, not the middle. For Opportunity details, typing Oppor finds it but tunity does not.

For more granular control, combine search with filters and sorting on the Opportunities page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why isn't my search returning results?
You probably haven't typed three characters yet. Search activates only after the third character. Also confirm you're searching the start of a word, not the middle.
Can I search by contact phone number?
Yes. Phone is one of the indexed fields, along with name, email, company, tags, and contact name.
Does search work across pipelines?
Yes. The search bar pulls from all opportunities in the sub-account, regardless of which pipeline they're in.
Can I search inside notes or custom fields?
No. The current search is limited to the six core fields. Use filters for custom field conditions.
