How to Use the Printful Integration in Sparkforge
The Printful integration imports products, creates Printful orders from your Sparkforge ecommerce store, and syncs fulfillment status back so shipping updates flow automatically. Install it from Sub-Account > Settings > Integrations.
Printful is an on-demand printing and fulfillment service. The Sparkforge integration lets you sell custom products without holding inventory, managing production, or running shipping yourself. Product changes and fulfillment updates from Printful sync to your Sparkforge ecommerce store in real time.
What the Printful integration does
- Product import: pull products from a specific Printful store into the Sparkforge store location you choose.
- Product sync: create, update, and delete events in Printful flow through to your Sparkforge catalog.
- Order creation: when a customer orders in your Sparkforge store, the matching order is created in Printful.
- Fulfillment sync: partial and complete fulfillment status from Printful is pushed back to Sparkforge.
- Status notifications: customers get an email with shipping details from Printful as orders fulfill.
Before you start
- Imported products are not auto-published. You enable each one manually in your store.
- Descriptions don't import. The current version doesn't pull product descriptions from Printful — you write those in Sparkforge.
- Uninstalling does not delete products. Removing the marketplace app leaves imported products in your Sparkforge store.
- Multi-location: one Printful store can be connected to multiple Sparkforge store locations.
- Delivery restrictions: Printful only ships some products to specific regions. Orders to unsupported addresses won't be created in Printful.
- New store option: if you pick "Create new store" during authorization, Printful creates a store named "Sparkforge Store".
Step 1: Connect Printful
- Go to Sub-Account > Settings > Integrations > Printful > View App > Install, or search for Printful in the App Marketplace.
- Authorize the connection. Choose an existing Printful store or select "Create new store".
Step 2: Import products
- Pick the Printful store you want to pull from.
- Choose the Sparkforge ecommerce store location to import into.
- Select the products and import.
Step 3: Publish products
- Open the Products page under Payments.
- Edit each imported product and add a description and any details Printful didn't supply.
- Verify regional shipping coverage so you don't accept orders Printful can't fulfill.
- Toggle each product to published.
Step 4: Orders and fulfillment
Once products are live, orders placed in your Sparkforge store create matching Printful orders automatically. As Printful ships, fulfillment status (partial or complete) syncs back to the order in Sparkforge and shipping details go to the customer.
Watch-outs
- Verify product descriptions and shipping coverage before publishing — bad delivery addresses break the order sync.
- If an order doesn't appear in Printful, the most common cause is a delivery address outside Printful's supported regions for that product.
