How to Collect Payments and Sell Products in Sparkforge Surveys
Sparkforge surveys can collect payments and sell products inline. Drop a Collect Payment or Sell Products element into the survey, configure pricing or subscriptions, and the charge runs when the respondent advances to the next step.
Sparkforge surveys can take payments and sell products without sending the respondent to a separate checkout. Drop a payment element into the survey flow and the charge runs when they hit Next, which lets a survey double as a two-step order form for donations, products, or paid services.
What You Can Do
- Collect Payments: accept fixed or custom payment amounts inside the survey.
- Sell Products: add products with pricing, quantity, and optional subscription plans.
- Two-step order forms: use the survey itself as the checkout flow.
How the Payment Flow Works
- The respondent fills payment details on the step containing the payment element.
- When they click Next, the charge processes immediately.
- If the respondent abandons before payment, the partial contact record is preserved.
- A confirmation screen appears on a successful transaction.
Add a Payment Element to a Survey
- Open the survey in the builder.
- Drag the Collect Payment or Sell Products element onto a step.
- Configure pricing, products, quantity, and subscription options in the element settings.
- (Optional) Enable the payment alert that reads “Payment will be processed as soon as you proceed to the next step.” Toggle off if you don’t want the message.
- Save the survey.
Test Before You Go Live
Run the survey in Test Mode first to confirm pricing, products, and subscription terms behave correctly. Switch to Live Mode once the flow is verified.
Notes
- Payments are encrypted in transit.
- The optional alert is fully customizable—enable it for transparency or hide it for cleaner UX.
- The element runs the charge on Next, so place it on the step right before the confirmation step.
Frequently Asked Questions

Can I test payments before going live?
