How to Add a Mobile Progress Bar to Sparkforge Surveys and Quizzes

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Sparkforge adds a mobile-only progress bar to multi-step surveys and quizzes. Switch the builder to phone view, toggle it on under Footer, and pick brand colors for the fill, inactive segment, and step text.

Sparkforge multi-step surveys and quizzes can show a mobile-only progress bar that fills as respondents move through each step. The bar stays hidden on desktop and on single-step forms, so the layout stays clean where progress is obvious and visible where it actually helps.

Why Use a Mobile Progress Bar

  • Respondents see how many steps remain, which lowers drop-off
  • Brand colors apply to the step text, fill, and inactive segment
  • Works with both Stick to card and Stick to page footers
  • Single-step forms hide the bar automatically

Turn On the Progress Bar

Steps are identical for surveys and quizzes.

  1. In the sub-account left menu, click Sites.
  2. From the top ribbon, choose Surveys or Quizzes.
  3. Edit an existing form (three-dot menu > Edit) or click + Add Survey / + Add Quiz.
  4. Click Styles & Options in the top right of the builder.
  5. Expand the Footer section.
  6. Use the device selector next to Footer and switch to Phone. The Progress Bar toggle stays grayed out in desktop mode.
  7. Toggle Enable Progress Bar on.
  8. Click Save.

Color the Bar to Match Your Brand

Three HEX color pickers control the appearance:

  • Step Text Color — the step label like "1 of 3"
  • Progress Bar Fill — the completed portion
  • Progress Bar Inactive — the unfilled portion

Existing surveys and quizzes do not flip on automatically. Open each one and toggle the bar on the first time you want it.
