Manual Payment Methods for Sparkforge Stores and Order Forms

Customers don't always pay online. Sparkforge supports Cash on Delivery and any custom manual payment method you define on both ecommerce stores and order forms.

Set up a manual payment method

1. Go to Payment > Integrations > Manual Payment Methods.
2. Pick Cash on Delivery or create a Custom Payment Method.
3. Configure optional fields: payment instructions and messages shown to the buyer.
4. Choose where the method appears: Order Forms, E-commerce Stores, or both.
5. Click Save.

Record collected payment

Use the Collect Payment flow once the buyer pays in person, on delivery, or by another offline method.

1. Go to Payment > Orders.
2. Open the order and click Collect Payment.
3. Pick the payment mode from the dropdown.
4. Add optional notes about the transaction.
5. Mark the order as paid.

The transaction status updates to reflect the payment mode.

Behavior notes

• Independent setup: Manual payment methods don't depend on any online payment integration.
• Recurring products: Manual methods don't appear at checkout if the cart contains a recurring product.
• One-way state: Once an order is marked paid, the status can't be reverted.
• Visibility: If the method is not enabled for stores or order forms, it won't show at checkout.
• Mix and match: Cash on Delivery and Custom Payment Methods can run side by side.
