How to Manage Sub-Account Email Settings and Migrate to Sparkforge Email

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Use Agency Settings > Email Services > Location Settings to filter sub-accounts by email provider, then migrate them — individually or in bulk — to Sparkforge Email with a chosen dedicated domain.

Agency Settings > Email Services > Location Settings is the control surface for every sub-account's email provider. From here you filter, migrate, and share dedicated domains.

Filter sub-accounts by email provider

Click Filter on the Location Settings page. The three options are:

  • Sparkforge — sub-accounts using Sparkforge as their default email service.
  • Mailgun — sub-accounts on Mailgun.
  • Other — sub-accounts using a third-party SMTP.

Stack filters to narrow further — by dedicated domain, or by whether email verification is enabled.

Migrate one sub-account

  1. Open Agency Settings > Email Services > Location Settings.
  2. Find the sub-account and click the Pencil icon.
  3. Choose Sparkforge as the provider.
  4. Pick a dedicated domain or set Fallback to Default (the agency default domain).
  5. Save.

Bulk migrate sub-accounts

  1. Filter the sub-accounts you want to move (e.g., Mailgun, optionally narrowed by Mailgun dedicated domain).
  2. Click the checkbox next to Location in the table header to select all matching sub-accounts.
  3. Click Manage.
  4. Under Request type, choose Migrate to LC.
  5. Click Confirm, choose the destination dedicated domain, then Confirm again.

Share an agency dedicated domain with sub-accounts

Filter the sub-accounts, click Manage, choose Migrate to LC, and pick the agency dedicated domain. By default the agency's primary dedicated domain is shared with sub-accounts that don't have their own.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I move a dedicated domain from one sub-account to another?
Not directly. Delete the domain on the original sub-account, then add it to the new one. Or, if it makes sense, add it at the agency level and share it with multiple sub-accounts.
Can I share an agency dedicated domain with sub-accounts?
Yes. Filter the sub-accounts, click Manage, choose Migrate to LC, and select the agency domain.
Can a sub-account dedicated domain be shared with other sub-accounts?
No. Domains created at the sub-account level can't be shared upward to the agency or sideways to peer sub-accounts.
What happens to sub-accounts without a dedicated domain?
They use the agency's default dedicated domain unless you explicitly assign them a different one.
