Internal Tasks for Your Team in Sparkforge
Sparkforge tasks can exist without a contact attached, so your team can manage internal work in the same task list. Filter by Unassigned to isolate them, and use the Add Task workflow action to automate creation.
Not every task ties to a customer. Internal work — onboarding a new staff member, restocking supplies, scheduling vendor visits — still needs a place to live. Sparkforge lets you create tasks without a contact attached so your team can run internal work in the same place you track customer follow-ups.
Create a contactless task
Open the Tasks list page and create a task without selecting a contact. The task lands in the same list as customer-facing work, but it's owned by whichever teammate you assign.
Filter internal tasks
Use the Unassigned option in the Contact filter to isolate contactless tasks. This keeps internal work visible without cluttering customer task views.
Reassign the contact later
You can add, remove, or change the contact on a task at any point after creation. If a task starts as internal but becomes tied to a specific customer (or vice versa), update it without rebuilding.
These tasks also surface in the Tasks list on the Dashboard, so they don't get buried.
Automate internal tasks with workflows
The Add Task workflow action creates contactless tasks when the workflow runs without a contact — useful for inbound system events. When a contact is present, the task automatically attaches to them.
FAQ
Can I schedule tasks with dynamic due dates?
The Tasks page supports manual creation only. For dynamic due dates like "2 days from now at 5 PM," use Automation > Workflows and the Add Task action. You get full control over assignment and timing based on triggers like form submissions or opportunity updates.
