How to Import Stripe Products and Prices Into Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Use Import From Stripe to bring recurring Live-mode prices into Sparkforge as products. One-time prices and metered prices must be created in Sparkforge directly.

Sparkforge can import existing Stripe products and prices instead of forcing you to recreate them. The import has rules — here is what works and what does not.

What can be imported

  • Recurring or subscription prices in Stripe Live mode.
  • One product is created per Stripe product, with the linked price under it.
  • Sparkforge mirrors the same product and price into Stripe Test mode and PayPal (if PayPal is connected).

What cannot be imported

  • One-time prices — create these directly in Sparkforge.
  • Test-mode prices — switch the Stripe price to Live first.
  • Metered prices.
  • Prices already imported into Sparkforge — they will not appear in the picker.

The three pricing plan types

1. Prices created via the SaaS configurator

Prices set up at the agency level through SaaS Mode are tagged Agency Plan on the product listing and detail pages. They cannot be edited from Sparkforge Payments.

If you change the price in Stripe, the change does not flow back automatically. To roll the new price out, edit it in Stripe and use Import From Stripe to bring it in as a new Sparkforge product, then point your funnel or website page at the new product.

2. Prices created from a Sparkforge product

When you create a product in Sparkforge, the matching plan and price are pushed into Stripe. Edits made in Sparkforge sync to Stripe by creating a new Stripe price (Stripe APIs do not allow editing existing prices).

Edits made in Stripe do not sync back. To pull a Stripe-side change in, re-import the price as a new Sparkforge product.

3. Prices created directly in Stripe

Use Import From Stripe to bring these in as Sparkforge products. After import, edits in Sparkforge sync to Stripe via a new price; edits in Stripe do not sync back to Sparkforge.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I import a one-time Stripe price?
No. Only recurring or subscription prices can be imported. Recreate one-time prices directly inside Sparkforge.
Why do I not see my Stripe price in the import list?
It is in Test mode, it is metered, or it has already been imported. Switch to Live mode and confirm it has not been imported previously.
What happens if I edit a price in Stripe after importing?
The change does not flow back to Sparkforge. Re-import the updated Stripe price as a new Sparkforge product.
Does Sparkforge sync products to PayPal too?
Yes — when PayPal is connected, Sparkforge mirrors the product and price into PayPal alongside the Stripe Test-mode copy.
