How to Use the Printful Integration with Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Install the Printful app from the App Marketplace, authorize your Printful store, import products, then publish them in your Sparkforge ecommerce store. Orders sync automatically and fulfillment notifications go out by email.

The Printful integration connects on-demand printing and fulfillment directly into your Sparkforge ecommerce store. Product changes, orders, and fulfillment updates sync between Printful and Sparkforge in real time.

Why this integration matters

  • It's the first integration built on the Marketplace Architecture, which other developers can now use to ship integrations of their own.
  • It expands what you can run inside Sparkforge without bolt-on tooling.

How to connect Printful

  1. Install the Printful app. Open the App Marketplace inside your sub-account and install Printful.
  2. Authorize. Connect your Sparkforge sub-account to your Printful store.
  3. Import products. Pull your Printful catalog into Sparkforge. Imported products sit in draft until you enable them.
  4. Publish products. Manually publish each Printful product to your online store after verifying details (especially shipping regions).
  5. Take orders. When a customer buys a Printful product, Sparkforge sends the order to Printful automatically.
  6. Track fulfillment. Customers and store owners get email notifications with shipping details once Printful fulfills the order — partial or complete.

What it does

  • Product import: bulk-import your Printful catalog into a chosen Sparkforge store.
  • Live sync: creations, edits, and deletions in Printful flow through to Sparkforge.
  • Order creation: every Sparkforge order for a Printful product creates the matching order in Printful.
  • Fulfillment sync: shipping updates from Printful land in Sparkforge for partial and complete fulfillments.
  • Notifications: email alerts go out as orders fulfill.

Things to watch for

  • Product descriptions don't pull from Printful in this version — add them manually after import.
  • Some Printful products only ship to specific regions. Verify the catalog before publishing so customers don't order something that can't ship to them.
  • Bad delivery addresses block order sync. The Printful order won't be created if the address fails validation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are product descriptions imported from Printful?
Not in this iteration. Imported products carry over without descriptions because of a Printful API limitation. Fill them in manually before publishing.
What happens if a customer enters a bad shipping address?
The order won't sync to Printful and won't be created on their side. Validate the address in Sparkforge or contact the customer to correct it before re-submitting.
Do I need to manually publish each Printful product?
Yes. Imported products land in draft so you can verify pricing and shipping regions. Toggle them live once they're ready.
How will I know when a Printful order ships?
Printful sends shipping details to Sparkforge, and Sparkforge sends an email notification with the tracking info.
Can I run partial fulfillments?
Yes. The integration syncs both partial and complete fulfillments back to your Sparkforge ecommerce store.
