Configure Shipping and Delivery Rates in Sparkforge Stores
Define shipping zones by country, state, or province in Sparkforge Stores, then attach delivery rates based on cart total or product weight. Each zone supports multiple conditional rates.
Sparkforge Stores let you set manual delivery rates for ecommerce orders. You define shipping zones, then attach rates by cart total or product weight to each zone.
Where to find it
Open Sub-Account → Payments → Settings → Shipping & Delivery. From here you create zones, add states or provinces, and attach rates.
Create a shipping zone
- Click Add Zone.
- Pick the countries the zone covers, or drill in and select specific states or provinces.
- Save the zone, then add rates inside it.
A state or province can only belong to one zone, so plan zone boundaries before adding overlapping geographies.
Rate type 1: rates by order total
Charge a flat shipping fee, or waive it once the cart hits a threshold.
- Example: free shipping when the order is over $500, otherwise charge $10.
- You can stack multiple tiers per zone, like $5 under $100, $10 from $100 to $500, free over $500.
Rate type 2: rates by product weight
Charge based on the total weight of the cart, useful for stores shipping bulky or heavy items.
- Example: free shipping for orders weighing 0 to 10 kg, $10 above that.
- Attach multiple weight tiers to a single zone for granular pricing.
Examples by use case
| Scenario | Zone | Rate logic |
|---|---|---|
| Local same-state orders only | One state inside a country | Flat $5 under $100, free above |
| Heavy goods nationwide | Whole country | $15 per 0-20 kg, $30 above |
| International shipping | Multiple countries | $25 flat regardless of total |
Tips
- Test each zone with a sample cart to confirm the rate engine matches your intent.
- If a customer's address falls outside every zone, checkout will block until you add a zone that covers it.
- Update rates whenever your carrier costs change so margins stay intact.
