How to Add Product Weight, Dimensions, and SKUs in Sparkforge Stores

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Sparkforge ecommerce products now support weight, dimensions, and SKU per price or variant. Add them on the variant page along with inventory tracking and digital file attachments.

Selling physical products means shipping integrations need real data: weight, dimensions, SKU. Sparkforge stores now support all three at the price/variant level, alongside inventory tracking.

Where to add product details

Go to Payments > Products > Create Product > Add Pricing/Variants > Pricing/Variant page.

You have to create the price or variant first. Once it's saved, click the product name link to open the detail page where weight, dimensions, SKU, inventory, and digital files all live.

What you can configure per variant

  • Weight
  • Dimensions
  • SKU (Stock Keeping Unit)
  • Inventory tracking
  • Digital file attachments

Managing variants from the list

  • Hover highlight: price and variant tiles highlight on hover so it's obvious they're clickable.
  • Quick actions: each tile has Edit and Delete buttons for fast changes without opening the full detail page.
  • New tag: unsaved prices show a "New" tag. The detail page only opens after the price is saved.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I add weight and dimensions at the product level instead of per variant?
No. These fields live on the price/variant detail page. If your variants ship differently — say, a small and large size — you can give each one its own weight and dimensions.
Why can't I open the variant detail page?
You have to save the price or variant first. The detail page is only available after the initial save. Newly added unsaved prices show a "New" tag and won't open until saved.
Are these fields required?
They're not required to publish a product, but shipping integrations and inventory features depend on them, so fill them in if you plan to use either.
