How to Find and Fix Workflow Errors in Sparkforge
The Workflow builder flags integration failures and missing required fields in a dedicated Errors panel, runs save-time validation on If/Else and Wait actions, and offers a Resolve through AI button that explains each error and walks you to the fix.
The Errors panel inside Sparkforge Workflows shows every misconfiguration in one place and pairs each one with AI-driven guidance. Save-time validation now catches problems in If/Else and Wait actions before they reach a live run.
Why it matters
- Reliability: incomplete steps are flagged before publish, not during the customer journey.
- Speed: AI explanations replace guesswork.
- Confidence: the builder shows you exactly where the problem lives.
Where errors show up
Side-panel Errors button
The Errors button on the left side panel opens a list grouped into two categories:
- Integration Issues: problems with connected accounts (e.g., Facebook authentication failed).
- Missing Mandatory Fields: required configuration not yet provided on an action or trigger.
Inline highlights on the canvas
An error icon appears in the bottom-right of any action or trigger that needs attention, so you can see issues without opening the panel.
Save-time validation for If/Else and Wait
Sparkforge runs extra checks when you click Save. If an If/Else branch or Wait action is misconfigured, the step is highlighted and the issue appears in the Errors panel before publish.
Tip: if an error is unclear, click Resolve through AI in the Errors panel to get guided steps and jump to the right configuration screen.
Resolving an error step by step
- Identify: spot the warning icon on a step or open the Errors panel for the full list.
- Open AI guidance: click Resolve through AI next to the error. The AI Assistant opens with an explanation and suggested fixes.
- Apply the fix: the action or trigger sidebar opens at the right configuration area. Make the change.
- Confirm: the warning icon disappears and the entry clears from the Errors panel automatically.
Common error types
Integration failures
Example: Facebook integration failed authentication. The AI Assistant prompts you to reconnect or re-authenticate the integration.
Missing mandatory fields
Example: a snapshot import is missing required fields like Appointment Date or Custom Fields. The AI lists the missing fields and offers to map them or create new ones.
Hide the Errors tab
If you do not want the tab visible all the time, toggle it off in the side-panel settings. Re-enable it the same way when you need it back.
