How to Set Up Payment Links in Sparkforge
Create payment links under Payments > Payment Links, attach a product, and share via generic, personalized, or contact-targeted distribution.
Payment links are the fastest way to collect a card payment without building a checkout page. Create the link, share it, get paid.
Create a Payment Link
- Open Payments > Payment Links.
- Click Create New Payment Link.
- Pick the product.
- Configure quantity, options, and other preferences.
- Click Save.
The hosted checkout adapts to the Platform Language set in your Business Profile. Supported languages include English, Danish, German, Spanish, Finnish, French, Italian, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese, and Swedish.
Share the Link
Click Send and choose how to distribute:
- Generic link: anyone with the URL can pay.
- Personalized link: only the named recipient can access it.
- Send to contacts: push directly to saved contacts via email or SMS.
Customize Branding
Match the checkout to your brand by editing colors, logo, and copy in the link's settings. The hosted page mirrors your visual identity so customers don't feel the handoff.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can a payment link cover a recurring subscription?
Yes. If the attached product is set to Recurring pricing, the payment link starts a subscription on purchase.
Can buyers edit the quantity?
Yes. Enable editable quantities in the link settings to let buyers adjust the count at checkout.
Does the link auto-apply tax?
Yes, when the product has a tax code set or when automatic taxes are enabled on the link itself.
What's the difference between a generic and personalized link?
Generic links work for anyone. Personalized links validate the recipient and prefill contact data, useful for one-to-one sends.
