Fathom Actions and Triggers in Sparkforge Workflows

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

The Fathom integration brings meeting recordings, transcripts, and summaries into Sparkforge workflows. Trigger on a new recording, fetch the transcript or summary, and automate follow-ups, CRM updates, and AI-generated emails.

Meeting recap workflows fall apart when transcripts live in one tool and the CRM lives in another. The Fathom integration brings recordings, transcripts, and summaries into Sparkforge workflows, so post-meeting follow-up runs on its own.

What you can do

  • Fetch meeting transcripts and summaries.
  • Retrieve recordings data.
  • Trigger workflows when a new recording is ready.

Triggers and actions

Triggers

  • New Recording — fires when a new meeting recording is processed in Fathom.

Actions

  • List Recordings — pulls available meeting recordings for the connected user.
  • Fetch Transcript — retrieves the transcript for a recording.
  • Fetch Summary — retrieves the AI-generated summary for a recording.

Add Fathom to a workflow

  1. Open the Workflow Builder.
  2. Search for Fathom.
  3. Select a trigger or action (for example, New Recording or Fetch Transcript).
  4. If your Fathom account is connected, configuration loads automatically. If not, click Connect Now and sign in with your Fathom login.

Alternative: go to Settings > Integrations, find Fathom, and connect there.

How the New Recording trigger works

The trigger fires when a meeting is recorded and processed in Fathom. The payload includes:

  • Recording ID
  • Meeting details
  • Transcript and additional metadata

Use the Test Trigger option to load the full schema before mapping fields downstream.

Common workflows

AI follow-up email after a sales call

Trigger on New Recording, fetch the transcript, run a competitor analysis pass, run an AI step to generate a personalized follow-up email, send the email. The result is a follow-up message that references what was actually discussed and positions against any competitors named on the call without trashing them.

Client call summary and task assignment

Trigger on New Recording, fetch the summary, parse action items, create tasks in the CRM, and assign them to the right teammates. No more action items lost in a Slack channel three days later.

CRM update from meeting transcript

Pull the transcript and extract key fields — budget, timeline, decision-makers — then update the contact or opportunity record. Sales reps stop hand-typing notes from their last call.

Tips

  • Use Test Trigger to confirm the schema before connecting downstream actions.
  • Pair Fathom transcripts with the AI workflow action to generate structured outputs (objections list, next steps, sentiment).
  • Save AI prompt templates so every rep gets the same format of follow-up.
