How to Edit a Rental Booking in Sparkforge
The Edit Booking screen is the single place to update Sparkforge rental bookings — listings, dates, payments, deposits, invoices, and statuses — without breaking buffers or inventory rules.
The Edit Booking screen lets admins change anything about an existing rental — listings, durations, payments, deposits, invoices, and statuses — while Sparkforge keeps buffers and inventory consistent so edits cannot create overlaps.
What you can do from Edit Booking
- Add, update, or remove listings; change rental durations and quantities.
- Manage payments, security deposits, and invoices.
- Review every transaction and the running payment summary.
- Change booking and listing statuses, or cancel the booking.
Why edit from this screen
- Flexible scheduling: set custom start and end times even when public time pickers are off.
- Conflict prevention: buffers and inventory are enforced on every save.
- Clear finance view: Payment Summary, Invoices, and Transactions show what changed and what remains due.
- Deposit control: charge or refund Collect Upfront and Card on File deposits.
- Multi-listing accuracy: edit one listing without disturbing the others.
- Immediate visibility: updates appear in the Appointments List and Calendar views as soon as you save.
How to open a booking for editing
- Go to Calendars → Appointment List View.
- Select Rentals from the dropdown.
- Find the booking and click the Edit (pencil) icon in the Actions column.
Each row in the Appointments view is one listing inside a booking. Editing any row opens the entire booking — all listings, payments, and transactions.
