Customize Opportunity Cards in Sparkforge Board View

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Sparkforge lets you choose up to 7 fields on each opportunity card in the pipeline board, plus quick-action icons at the bottom. Layout, column widths, and stage collapse state save per user.

The opportunity board's default cards rarely match how you actually scan a pipeline. Sparkforge lets you pick the fields, layout, and counters that matter, so the at-a-glance view shows the data you care about.

Customize an opportunity card

Open the field picker

  1. Open Opportunities.
  2. Click Manage Fields in the top-right corner of the board.

Pick up to 7 fields

You can mix any combination from these groups:

  • Standard fields: Opportunity Name, Status, Lost Reason, Value, Owner, Source.
  • Custom fields: any opportunity custom field you've created (dropdowns, checkboxes, dates, text).
  • Primary contact info: Contact Name, Phone, Email, Business Name, Next Task Due Date, Days Till Next Task Due, Days Till Next Appointment, Engagement Score.
  • Activity: Created On, Updated On, Last Stage Change, Last Status Change, Days Since Last Stage Change, Days Since Last Status Change, Days Since Last Updated.

Engagement Score only appears on opportunities created or updated after March 19, 2025. If you don't see folders like General Info or Additional Info, your custom fields haven't been set up yet.

Customize the bottom counters

The Quick Actions tab controls icons at the bottom of each card:

  • Conversations icon (with unread count)
  • Task icon (with task count)
  • Note icon (with note count)
  • Tags icon (with tag count)
  • Call icon
  • Appointment icon (with next appointment date)

Exporting opportunities from a customized view still pulls every field, not just what's on the card.

Multiple pipelines

Customizations apply per pipeline by default. If you have several pipelines, there's an option to apply your changes to all of them in one shot. Customizations are user-specific and saved in the browser's local storage — they don't roam to other browsers or other users.

Layout options

Default View

Shows field labels and values together.

Compact View

Values only. Hover a field to see the label and full value.

Unlabeled View

One field per line, values only, no labels.

Collapse, expand, and resize stages

In the Kanban view you can hide noisy stages and widen the active ones.

Collapse or expand

  1. Open Opportunities and switch to Kanban view.
  2. Click the > or < on a stage header to collapse or expand it.

Resize

Hover the right edge of a stage column and drag to widen or narrow it.

Persistence

Layout is per user and saved in local storage. A different browser or device may not show your saved layout.

Tips

  • Collapse low-priority stages to focus on active work.
  • Widen current-stage columns when you're triaging.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many fields can I show on a card?
Up to 7. Mix standard, custom, contact, and activity fields freely.
Do my customizations apply to other users?
No. Field selection, layout, column widths, and collapse state are all per-user and saved to your browser's local storage.
Why don't I see Engagement Score on older opportunities?
Engagement Score only appears on opportunities created or updated after March 19, 2025. Older records won't show a value.
Does an exported view only contain visible fields?
No. Exports pull every field on the opportunity, not just the ones on the card.
Can I apply my layout to all pipelines at once?
Yes. When you save customizations, choose the option to apply them across every pipeline in the location.
