How to Enable Customer Login on a Sparkforge Ecommerce Store

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Customer Login adds a sign-in button to your Sparkforge store nav so customers can view past orders and account links from the storefront. Enable it under Store Builder → Navigation Menu → General Settings → Customer Login, and connect a verified domain to make the button work.

Customer Login lets shoppers sign in directly from your Sparkforge ecommerce storefront. Once enabled, a login button appears in the store’s navigation menu, and authenticated customers get a dropdown with their order history and a logout link — no redirects, no separate portal.

What Customer Login does

  • Adds a sign-in button to the store’s top navigation
  • Opens a customer dropdown after login with Orders and Logout
  • Lets you customize the login icon color and label
  • Supports adding extra menu items with redirect URLs
  • Lets each link open in the same tab or a new one
  • Requires a verified domain linked to a store page

Enable Customer Login

  1. Open the Store Builder from your dashboard.
  2. Go to your store page and click Navigation Menu.
  3. Open General Settings → Customer Login.
  4. Turn on Enable Customer Login.
  5. Scroll to Menu Items Dropdown to add menu items, set redirect URLs, and choose new-tab behavior.
  6. Confirm your store domain is added and verified.

If the toggle is off or no verified domain is linked to the store page, the login button will not appear or function.

Login button in store navigation

The login button sits in the top navigation. You can show or hide it, change the icon color to match the store theme, add menu items, and decide whether links open in a new tab.

Customer dropdown after login

Once a customer signs in, the profile icon opens a dropdown with:

  • Orders — full list of past purchases
  • Logout — sign out of the account

Verify the domain

The login flow needs a live, verified domain mapped to one of your store pages. Without that, the button is non-functional even if the toggle is on.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if I disable the Customer Login toggle?
The login button is removed from the store navigation and customers cannot sign in. Existing accounts are not deleted — they just can’t log in until you re-enable the toggle.
Can I test the login feature without a verified domain?
No. A live, verified domain must be linked to one of your store pages before the login button activates.
Can I add custom links to the customer dropdown menu?
Yes. Add menu items with redirect URLs and choose whether each opens in the same tab or a new tab.
Does Customer Login sync data into the Sparkforge CRM?
Not yet. Today the login surfaces past orders and a logout action. CRM syncing is on the roadmap.
What if my domain is unverified or not linked to a store page?
The login button stays non-functional until the domain is verified and connected to a published store page.
