How to Configure DNS for Domains Purchased in Sparkforge
Domains bought through Sparkforge can be fully managed inside the platform. Edit DNS records and connect the domain to a website, funnel, store, or blog from Sub-account > Settings > Domains > Purchased Domains.
When you buy a domain through Sparkforge, Sparkforge is the registrar. You manage DNS records and connect the domain to your sites without logging into a third-party host.
Where to Find Purchased Domain Settings
Open Sub-account > Settings > Domains > Purchased Domains. Click Configure next to the domain to open its settings.
Manage DNS Records
You can add, edit, and delete the following record types:
- A — point a hostname to an IPv4 address
- CNAME — alias one hostname to another
- AAAA — IPv6 equivalent of A
- MX — route email to a mail provider
- TXT — verification, SPF, DKIM, and similar records
Use only one A record when pointing the root domain. Multiple A records on the same hostname cause DNS conflicts, especially when Sparkforge auto-inserts its required A record.
Connect the Domain to a Site
- Click Connect This Domain on the configuration screen.
- Click Continue through the prompts.
- Click Add Records when prompted to write the required DNS entries.
- Select the correct site type — website, funnel, store, or blog — and click Proceed.
The domain now serves your selected site type.
Subdomains for Multiple Site Types
A single root domain can only attach to one site type at a time. To run a website and a funnel on the same brand, use subdomains such as store.yourdomain.com or blog.yourdomain.com for each surface.
