Business Profile Settings in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

The Business Profile is where each Sparkforge subaccount sets company name, address, time zone, branded domain, and the data that flows into every form, email, and trigger link. Get this right first — it touches everything downstream.

The Business Profile is the section of subaccount settings where you assign company data and configure defaults that apply across the entire subaccount. Spend the time here first — these fields populate forms, emails, footers, custom values, and trigger links throughout Sparkforge.

Where to find the Business Profile

  1. Log in to Sparkforge and select the subaccount you want to configure.
  2. Click Settings in the left navigation.
  3. The Business Profile is the first item in the settings menu and loads by default.

General Information

General Information is the most-referenced part of the profile. Custom fields, trigger links, and outbound email all pull from here.

Location ID

The Location ID is the unique identifier for this subaccount. Support staff will ask for it when troubleshooting. You can copy it directly from the field — it is read-only.

Business name and legal name

Business name is the public-facing name shown on receipts, emails, and customer comms. Legal name is used for contracts, invoices, and compliance documents. Both can match if you operate as one entity.

Email and phone

The email here is the default From address for system messages and the reply-to address customers see. The phone number is the default outbound caller ID for users without a personal number assigned.

Business niche

Sparkforge uses the niche to recommend templates, snapshots, and AI prompts tuned for your industry.

Address and time zone

The address shows up in CAN-SPAM-compliant email footers automatically. Time zone controls scheduled sends, workflow timing, calendar slots, and reporting windows.

Branded domain

The branded domain replaces the default Sparkforge URL in trigger links, surveys, calendar links, and forms. Set it before you start sending campaigns — changing it later will break links you have already shared.

Setup steps

  1. Add a CNAME record at your DNS provider pointing to the host Sparkforge specifies.
  2. Wait for DNS propagation (typically 5-30 minutes).
  3. Enter the full domain in the Branded Domain field.
  4. Save and verify — Sparkforge issues an SSL certificate automatically.

Custom values and replacements

Every field in the Business Profile is exposed as a custom value you can drop into emails, SMS, and pages. Use {{location.name}}, {{location.address}}, {{location.phone}}, and similar tokens instead of hardcoding values — if the business moves or rebrands, every asset updates automatically.

Time zone behavior

  • Workflows: time-based steps fire in this time zone unless overridden.
  • Calendars: availability windows are interpreted in this time zone before being converted for visitors.
  • Reporting: dashboard date ranges follow this time zone.
  • Campaigns: scheduled email and SMS sends use this time zone.

What to set up next

After the Business Profile is locked in, configure phone numbers and email sending domains so outbound communications work end-to-end.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Location ID and where do I find it?
Location ID is the unique identifier for a subaccount. It lives at the top of the Business Profile page and is what support uses to identify your account when you open a ticket.
Does changing the time zone affect existing scheduled workflows?
Yes. Scheduled steps and time-based triggers will recalculate against the new time zone. Review active campaigns before changing it on a live account.
What is the branded domain used for?
It replaces the default Sparkforge URL in trigger links, calendar links, surveys, and forms so customers see your domain instead of a generic one.
Can I leave the Business Profile mostly empty?
Technically yes, but emails will fail CAN-SPAM compliance and many custom values will render blank. Fill in name, address, email, phone, and time zone at minimum.
Is the Business Profile the same as Agency Company Settings?
No. The Business Profile is per-subaccount. Agency Company Settings live one level up and apply across every subaccount under the agency.
