How to Assign a Primary Calendar in Sparkforge
Your primary calendar is the calendar Sparkforge writes appointments to in Google, Outlook, or iCloud. Set it under Settings then My Profile, and choose whether external events should create contacts and fire triggers.
For Team and Group calendars (Round Robin, Service, Class, and Collective), appointments assigned to a user can sync out to that user's Google, Outlook, or iCloud calendar. Events from those external calendars can also sync back into the CRM as appointments.
Where to configure it
Go to Settings > My Profile. The two settings that matter here are Primary Calendar and Check for Conflicts. Every third-party calendar the user has connected shows up in this view.
Primary Calendar
The primary calendar is the calendar Sparkforge writes events to in Google, Outlook, or iCloud. It also reads events from third-party calendars, but its main job is pushing new appointments out.
If contact creation is on, it behaves like an Event (Unassigned) calendar's two-way sync — events with attendees in Google or Outlook are converted into Sparkforge appointments. Recurring events are skipped.
Primary Calendar dropdown
This dropdown lists every calendar the user has integrated. Calendars that appear disabled are either flagged for conflict-check only or lack write access to Google.
Allow Contact Creation
Pick a calendar here if you want appointments and contacts created from inbound Google or Outlook events. Leave it as None to skip contact creation. Selecting a calendar puts the synced appointments into that calendar specifically. All group calendars the user belongs to are listed.
Allow Trigger
This dropdown only appears once you pick a calendar in Allow Contact Creation. It controls whether sync-created appointments fire workflow triggers. Turn it on to fire triggers for synced appointments, or leave it off to skip them.
