Sparkforge offers two calendar widget styles. Classic is a simple, fixed layout. Neo is the modern style with color customization, step reordering, staff selection, and class seat display — and it's the default for Group Calendars.

Sparkforge ships two calendar widget styles: Classic and Neo. They control how your booking widget looks to leads and how much customization you get. You can switch between them on any calendar without losing existing bookings.

Classic widget

Classic is a simple, reliable layout for straightforward booking. It's the default for Unassigned Calendars and works well when you don't need branding control.

  • Quick setup with sensible defaults.
  • Standard layout for single or unassigned calendars.
  • Best when minimal customization is the goal.

Neo widget

Neo is the modern style with full customization. It's the default for Group Calendars and supports the features that need a flexible UI.

  • Customizable colors, backgrounds, and button styles.
  • Reorder the booking steps (Form, Date & Time, Payment) to match your flow.
  • Staff selection on Round Robin calendars.
  • Seat display on Class Booking calendars.
  • Modern layout that scales across devices.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I switch from Classic to Neo after I've created a calendar?
Yes. Edit the calendar, open Customizations, and pick the other style. Existing bookings aren't affected.
Why is Neo the default for Group Calendars?
Neo supports the staff selection, modern layout, and multi-team-member features that Group Calendars need. Classic doesn't.
Which widget should I use for a class with multiple seats per slot?
Use Neo. The seat display per slot for Class Booking calendars only renders in the Neo widget.
Does Classic support payment collection?
Yes. Both Classic and Neo collect payments. The difference is customization, not payment capability.
Will switching styles affect my existing bookings?
No. The widget style controls the public booking page only. Existing appointments and customer data don't change.
