How to Set Up Zoho Mail as Your SMTP Provider in Sparkforge
To use Zoho as your SMTP provider in Sparkforge, point to smtp.zoho.com (personal) or smtppro.zoho.com (domain) on port 465 SSL or 587 TLS, and use an app password if 2FA is enabled.
Zoho Mail is a solid SMTP provider for Sparkforge — particularly if your business email already runs on Zoho. Setup takes the same form as any SMTP integration: server, port, credentials.
Outgoing server: personal Zoho accounts
For personal users with addresses like username@zoho.com:
- Server:
smtp.zoho.com - Port: 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS)
- Authentication: required
Note: free email addresses sometimes can't be used as SMTP senders due to deliverability rules. If yours is rejected, use a domain-based Zoho address instead.
Outgoing server: domain-based Zoho accounts
For organization users with addresses like you@yourdomain.com:
- Server:
smtppro.zoho.com - Port: 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS)
- Authentication: required
Credentials
- Username: your Zoho username, or your full Zoho Mail address. For domain accounts on Zoho, that's
you@yourdomain.com. - Email Address: your Zoho Mail address (same as above for domain users).
- Password: your Zoho account password — or an app-specific password if 2FA is enabled on the Zoho account.
If 2FA is on, generate an app password
Zoho blocks raw account passwords from SMTP when 2FA is active. Generate an application-specific password in your Zoho admin console and paste that into Sparkforge's password field instead. Account-level 2FA stays on — only SMTP uses the dedicated app password.
Connect in Sparkforge
- Open Settings > Email Services in your sub-account.
- Click Add Service and pick a custom SMTP provider.
- Enter the Zoho server, port, username, and password (or app password).
- Save and send a test email to confirm.
