How to Troubleshoot Sparkforge Login Issues
If 2FA codes are not arriving, try Google Sign-In at app.sparkforge.com. Most other login errors come from ISP-level web protection (Verizon Fios, Xfinity, Spectrum, McAfee) or stale browser site data — disable protection or clear site data per the steps below.
Login errors usually come from one of three sources: ISP-level web protection blocking the auth request, missing 2FA delivery, or stale browser site data. Work through the error message you are seeing.
Quick Fix: Use Google Sign-In
If you are not getting the 2FA code by SMS or email, log in with your Google account at app.sparkforge.com. This bypasses 2FA delivery problems entirely.
Error: "Unable to log you in at this time"
Step 1: Check Your ISP's Web Protection
Several ISPs block parts of the auth flow with their built-in security features. Disable the relevant protection while you log in:
- Verizon Fios: disable Home Network Protection in your Verizon account.
- CenturyLink: disable Secure WiFi.
- Xfinity: review xFi security settings.
- Spectrum: disable Security Shield.
- McAfee: turn off Web Protection.
- Survey Junkie installed before: uninstall it. It updates SSL certificates on your machine and can break login.
Disabling these features briefly is safe as long as you are browsing secure (HTTPS) sites.
Step 2: If Your ISP Is Not on the List
Open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and record a Loom while attempting to log in. Capture the request and the API response, then call (888) 732-4197 to open a ticket and share the Loom.
Error: "Not able to send the security code at this time"
Ask the agency admin to add a phone number for the user account that cannot log in. The 2FA code goes to that number. If you are the only agency admin, call (888) 732-4197 and Sparkforge support will update the user phone number.
For email verification, gather:
- The user's login email.
- Whether they checked spam for an email titled Login Security Code.
- The company relationship number from Agency Settings > Company.
- Whether the agency uses its own SMTP or Mailgun.
Error: "User does not exist in this Agency"
If this appears when logging in through a whitelabel domain, the user account is not associated with the agency that owns that domain. Add the user to the correct agency, or have them log in via the matching whitelabel URL.
No Error, But the Page Stays Stuck
- Make sure cookies are allowed for
app.sparkforge.com. - If you have NordVPN or similar software that controls browsing or web protection, disable or uninstall it. These tools rewrite SSL certificates and can block the page from loading.
- Click the lock icon in the address bar > Connection is secure > Certificate is valid. If the issuer is NordVPN (or similar), that is your problem.
Error: "Web server is returning an Unknown Error"
