How to Sell Gift Cards in Sparkforge: Link, Embed, QR, Checkouts
Every Sparkforge gift card ships with a dedicated checkout link, embed code, and QR code, and can be added as a product to Funnels, Forms, Stores, Websites, Payment Links, Invoices, and supported Calendars.
Sparkforge Gift Cards let customers buy a prepaid balance for themselves or send it to someone else. You can sell through a dedicated checkout, embed it on any page, share a QR code, or add the card to existing checkouts.
Before you sell
- At least one Gift Card product is created and active under Payments → Gift Cards.
- A connected payment provider so you can collect funds.
Test Mode vs Live Mode
Test Mode has separate checkout links and payment keys for validating pricing, taxes, and delivery messages without affecting real balances. Live Mode is for real transactions. Cards bought in Test Mode redeem only on test checkouts; Live Mode cards redeem only on live checkouts. The Send flow (issuing without payment) is Live Mode only.
Dedicated checkout link
Every gift card product has its own standalone checkout page in both modes. It is the fastest way to start selling — share it in email, SMS, social posts, or a website button.
- Go to Payments → Gift Cards.
- On the gift card tile, click Sell.
- Click the copy icon to grab the Live Mode checkout link. Use the toggle in the upper-right to switch to the Test Mode link for QA.
What buyers experience
- Pick a denomination (e.g., $25, $50, $100).
- Choose Myself or Someone Else. For someone else, the checkout collects recipient name/email plus sender name/email.
- Choose Deliver Now or schedule for a future date and add an optional message.
- Pay. The buyer can download the card from the confirmation screen.
- Recipients receive the card by email at the chosen time.
Embed code
Drop the dedicated checkout into WordPress, an HTML landing page, a blog page, a custom portal, or a link-in-bio page. From Payments → Gift Cards → Sell, copy the embed code and paste it into your page source.
QR code
QR codes work for in-person and offline campaigns — in-store displays, print, or anywhere a link cannot live. From the gift card tile, click QR Code, then Download the image or Share the link.
