By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Prospecting widgets are embeddable lead capture forms that generate instant Marketing Audit Reports. They feed contacts into your CRM with tags and can trigger workflows for welcome messages, pipelines, and nurture sequences. The widget builder is unlocked by upgrading the paid Prospecting Tool inside your agency account.

Prospecting widgets are customizable lead capture forms you embed on a website. Each submission produces a Marketing Audit Report, drops the contact into your CRM, and can fire workflows automatically.

Important: the widget builder requires the paid Prospecting Tool inside your agency account.

Upgrade to the paid Prospecting Tool

If you haven't upgraded, the Prospecting screen shows an Upgrade panel. Click Upgrade and complete the steps to unlock widget creation.

Build a widget

Open Prospecting in Agency View, or under the Marketing tab inside a Sub-Account.

Customize

  • Form heading, colors, background, light or dark theme
  • Submit button color to match your brand
  • Required, optional, or hidden input fields
  • Manual business info entry (no Google listing required)
  • Fonts, layout, background and header images

You can run up to 9 widgets across different sites or use cases.

Embed on your site

  1. In the widget settings, generate the embed code.
  2. Log in to your CMS — WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, or anything else.
  3. Paste the code where you want the widget to appear (lead-gen page, sidebar, etc.).
  4. Visit the page and verify: widget loads without errors, fits the layout, and all interactive elements work.

Automation

Inside a Sub-Account with Premium Prospecting enabled, every submission:

  • Saves to Contacts automatically (no workflow setup required)
  • Gets tagged (e.g., "New Prospect Received")
  • Can trigger workflows to send welcome email or SMS, add to Opportunities or Pipelines, or enroll into a nurture sequence

Track leads

  1. Open the Prospecting Tool Dashboard.
  2. View lead details — submissions are tagged with "Forms tag" alongside the contact name.
  3. Reach out using the contact info and business details captured.

Why agencies use it

  • Branded lead capture: interactive forms turn casual visitors into qualified prospects.
  • Less manual work: identification, capture, and nurture run on automation.
  • Engagement: a value-first experience (the audit report) keeps prospects on the page.
  • Analytics: real-time reporting feeds back into lead-gen strategy.
  • Multi-client: manage widgets and workflows across clients or campaigns from one place.

Why SaaS sellers use it

  • Identify and engage prospects actively researching your category.
  • Prioritize leads by engagement so sales focuses on the warmest opportunities.
  • Automate first-touch through follow-up so sales can focus on closing.
  • Use analytics to refine targeting and messaging.
