How to Pin Groups and Courses in Communities

Pin up to four groups in GoKollab and Communities so they sit at the top of the group sidebar for quick access. Courses can also be pinned to the left sidebar.

If you live inside a few key groups, pin them. Pinned groups jump to the top of the group sidebar in both GoKollab and Communities, so you skip the scroll.

What pinning does

Up to four groups can be pinned in each view.
In GoKollab, only pinned groups appear in the group sidebar.
In Communities, pinned groups appear first, followed by the rest of the sub-account groups.
Courses can also be pinned. Pinned courses sit in the left sidebar under the bookmark icon for one-click return.

Pin a group

Open the Group Switcher in the top navigation bar.
Find the group you want to pin.
Hover the group card and click the pin icon on the right.
The group jumps to the top of the sidebar and the Group Switcher.

Pin a course

Open GoKollab and locate the course.
Pin the course — it appears in the left sidebar under the bookmark icon.
Click the pinned course any time to return to it.

Unpin a group

Open the Group Switcher.
Find the pinned group at the top.
Click the unpin icon on the right of the card.
The group returns to its default position in the list.

Pinning is per-user and only changes your view. Other members of the group are unaffected.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many groups can I pin?

Up to four per view. The four pinned groups in GoKollab can be different from the four pinned in Communities.

Does pinning hide unpinned groups?

In GoKollab, only pinned groups appear in the group sidebar. In Communities, pinned groups appear first and the rest of your groups appear below them.

Can other members see what I pinned?

No. Pinning only affects your own navigation. Group visibility for other members does not change.

Can I pin courses too?

Yes. Pinned courses sit in the left sidebar under the bookmark icon for one-click access.
