KYC Verification on Persona: Best Practices for Sparkforge
Persona allows up to 10 KYC attempts per user. Use a physical, in-country ID, complete the flow in one sitting on a stable connection, and avoid digital screenshots. Failed sessions take up to 24 hours to clear before you can retry.
Sparkforge uses Persona to verify your identity before activating phone system features. The flow is fast when documents are correct — here is how to clear it on the first try.
Attempt limits
Each user gets up to 10 attempts to complete KYC. Repeated failures can trigger temporary restrictions, so double-check details and image quality before submitting each attempt.
Session expired errors
A Session Expired message means you closed the browser or navigated away mid-flow. The status sits in Pending until the system clears it — typically within 24 hours — before you can retry.
To prevent it: stay on the verification tab from start to finish, run on a stable internet connection, and reserve enough time to finish in one sitting. If the pending status persists past 24 hours, submit a support ticket so the team can reset the session.
Use an in-country ID
Always upload an identification document issued by the country you currently reside in. Foreign IDs trigger failures or extra review.
Acceptable documents typically include:
- Passport
- National ID card
- Driver’s license (if locally issued)
Acceptable types vary by country.
No electronic replicas
Screenshots, scanned copies, or photos of an ID displayed on another screen are rejected. Photograph the original physical card directly.
Image quality checklist
- Well-lit environment, no glare or shadow.
- All four corners visible — no cropping.
- Sharp focus, no motion blur.
- Name and date of birth match your registered Sparkforge details.
- The document is not expired.
