Sparkforge Invoices: New UI With Live Preview

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

The new Sparkforge invoice editor puts editing on the left and a live preview on the right. Type a product name, hit enter, and the line item is added.

What's new

  • Redesigned invoice layout: editing controls on the left, live preview on the right.
  • Switch from the banner at the top of the invoice page after enabling it in Labs.
  • Faster path to sending your first invoice.

How to use the new editor

Turn it on

Enable the new design in the Labs section, then click the banner at the top of the invoice page to switch.

Edit the invoice

Fill in customer details, line items, and totals on the left. The toolbar still includes Late Fees, Tips, and Payment Schedules.

Add products inline

Type a product name and press enter to add the line item without leaving the editor.

Preview as you go

The right-side preview updates in real time so you see exactly what the customer will receive.

Recurring invoices

Add a recurring product as the first line item and Sparkforge automatically marks the invoice as recurring.

Save and send

Review the preview, then click Save to finalize and send.

Why it matters

The split editor cuts the trip-and-error of editing-then-checking. You see the customer-facing version while you build the invoice, which speeds up sending and reduces formatting mistakes.
