How to Save Draft Messages in Sparkforge Conversations

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Conversations auto-saves drafts of messages and internal comments. Leave a thread, switch channels, or collapse the composer — your draft stays put.

Conversations now auto-saves drafts. If you start typing and step away, the message is waiting when you come back.

What gets saved

  • Message drafts save automatically while you type.
  • Internal comment drafts persist when you switch channels, collapse or expand the composer, or move to a different conversation.
  • The composer remembers the last channel you used when you collapse it.

How it works in practice

Open a conversation, start typing, and walk away. Come back later — to the same conversation or a different one — and the draft is still there. There is no manual save action; drafts persist automatically.

This applies to both customer-facing messages and internal comments, across every channel the conversation supports (SMS, email, chat, etc.).

Frequently Asked Questions

Do drafts save across devices?
Drafts persist within your Sparkforge session. If you switch devices, the draft does not follow — write the message in the device you plan to send from.
Are internal comments saved the same way?
Yes. Internal comment drafts persist when you switch channels, collapse the composer, or move between conversations.
How long do drafts stay around?
Drafts persist while the conversation is open in Conversations. Sending the message clears the draft. Closing the browser or signing out can clear unsent drafts depending on session state.
Can I see if a conversation has an unsent draft?
Open the conversation — the draft appears in the composer if one exists. There isn't a separate drafts list.
