Disable Sparkforge Phone and Switch to Twilio

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

To switch from Sparkforge Phone to your own Twilio account, release any numbers you want to keep first, gather your Twilio credentials, then submit the disable form. Skipping the release step permanently deletes the numbers.

Some agencies prefer to run their own Twilio account instead of Sparkforge Phone for direct billing, custom carrier deals, or tighter control. The migration is straightforward, but it has one critical step: release any phone numbers you want to keep before you submit the disable form.

Before You Start

Release Existing Numbers (If Keeping Them)

If you want to keep current numbers, contact Twilio support to release them from Sparkforge Phone first. Skipping this step deletes the numbers permanently when Sparkforge Phone is disabled.

If you don't need the numbers, skip the release and proceed straight to the disable form.

Twilio Account Ready

You need an active Twilio account with the Account SID and Auth Token before submitting the disable request. Sparkforge will use these credentials to route phone services to your account.

Migration Steps

Step 1: Release Numbers (If Needed)

  1. Contact Twilio support and request release of the numbers from Sparkforge Phone.
  2. Confirm release before moving on. Once disabled, unreleased numbers are gone.

Step 2: Locate the Sub-Account ID

Navigate to Settings → Business Profile and copy the Location ID for the sub-account you're migrating.

Step 3: Get Twilio Credentials

Log in to your Twilio console. On the dashboard homepage, copy the Account SID and Auth Token from the Account Info panel.

Step 4: Submit the Disable Form

Open the Disable Sparkforge Phone form and enter:

  • Sub-Account ID (Location ID)
  • Twilio Account SID
  • Twilio Auth Token

Submit. The Sparkforge support team reviews the request and disables Sparkforge Phone for that sub-account.

What Happens Next

Sparkforge support will email you with status updates or any follow-up questions. Once Sparkforge Phone is disabled, calls and SMS route through your own Twilio account using the credentials you provided.
