How to Create Invoices in Sparkforge
Create invoices in Sparkforge from the Payments tab. Add products, taxes, and discounts, then send through email or text. Stripe Connect enables live online payments.
Where invoices live
Invoices sit under Payments → Invoices in the sub-account. They also appear in Payments → Transactions alongside successful and failed activity.
Stripe Connect or manual recording
With Stripe Connect, clients pay online and the invoice updates automatically. Without Stripe Connect, you can still issue invoices but you need to record payments manually as they come in.
Create a new invoice
- Go to Payments → Invoices.
- Click + New.
- Use the gear icon next to + New to set global terms of service or notes that apply to every invoice.
Edit invoice details
- Click any text in the From block to edit company info.
- Click the logo image to swap it from the Media Library.
- Add the client, then set the invoice number, issue date, and due date.
- Click Add an Item to pull in products from the Products tab. Adjust price and quantity inline.
Add taxes
- Click Tax Settings.
- Click Add Tax.
- Enter the tax name, rate as a percentage, and a description or tax ID number.
Add a discount
Click the Add Discount icon on the invoice and enter a flat amount or percentage.
Send an invoice
- Click the green Send button in the top right.
- Choose email, SMS, or both.
- Use the advanced option to switch between live mode and test mode.
Check invoice status
Open the Invoices tab to see every invoice with its current status. Filter by status or date range to find what you need. Invoices also appear inside Payments → Transactions, where you can see paid and failed transactions tied to each one.
