How to Configure and Accept Tips on Sparkforge Invoices
Enable tips under Invoices > Payments Settings > Invoice Tips. Customers can leave a percentage or custom amount on any invoice, and you can configure tips globally or per invoice.
Invoice tipping lets your customers add a tip to any Sparkforge invoice — one-time, recurring, workflow-generated, or document-and-contract invoices. Customers pick a preset percentage or enter a custom amount.
Turn on tipping
- Go to Invoices > Settings.
- Open Payments Settings.
- Click Invoice Tips, enable it, and save.
Configure tips on a specific invoice
- Open the Invoices tab.
- Create a new invoice or recurring invoice.
- Click the three-dot menu at the top and pick Manage Tips.
- Pick the percentage presets you want to offer and save.
Refunds
You can refund the full invoice amount including the tip. Refunds run through the same payment processor that charged the original invoice.
Why use tipping
Service businesses can collect gratuity on top of the invoice total and pass it to staff. Coming next: CSV export of tip amounts in transactions and the ability to tag tips to a specific user.
