How to Enable PayPal and PayLater in Sparkforge Payment Elements

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Connect PayPal in Payments → Integrations, then add or update the Payment Element on your forms, funnels, invoices, or order forms. PayPal and PayLater appear at checkout.

Sparkforge Payment Elements support PayPal and PayLater alongside other providers. Once connected, PayPal buttons show up in forms, surveys, funnels, websites, invoices, payment links, and e-commerce stores.

Where PayPal works

  • Websites and funnels: 1-step and 2-step order forms.
  • Forms and surveys: the Collect Payment element.
  • Invoices: client invoice payments.
  • Payment links: one-time link payments.
  • E-commerce stores: store checkout.

How to enable PayPal

Step 1: Connect your PayPal account

  1. In Sparkforge, go to Payments → Integrations.
  2. Click PayPal and enter your Client ID and Secret Key from your PayPal developer account.
  3. Save the integration.

Step 2: Add or update the Payment Element

  • Forms or surveys: drop in the Collect Payment element.
  • Funnels or websites: use the 1-Step or 2-Step Order Form. PayPal works automatically — no extra payment element needed.
  • Existing setups: update the Payment Element to the latest version that supports PayPal.
  • Order forms added before Nov 1, 2024: delete and re-add to pick up PayPal compatibility.

Step 3: Preview to confirm

The PayPal buttons only render in preview mode — you won't see them inside the builder. Open the form, survey, funnel, or website preview to verify checkout.

How to get a PayPal Client ID and Secret

  1. Sign in to your PayPal developer account.
  2. Go to My Apps & Credentials.
  3. Create a new app to generate the Client ID and Secret Key.
  4. Paste both into Sparkforge's PayPal integration screen.
