Internal Comments are private notes you post inside a Sparkforge conversation thread. The contact never sees them. Type @ and pick a teammate to @mention them — they get a notification based on their preferences. Use this for handoffs, QA notes, and silent context without leaving the thread.

Internal Comments live inside a specific conversation thread. They are not the same as Internal Chat (separate team chat surface). Once posted, an Internal Comment cannot be edited or deleted.

Why use Internal Comments

  • Private collaboration — keep sensitive notes off the contact's view.
  • Targeted notifications — @mention specific teammates instead of pinging the whole team.
  • Tighter handoffs — leave next-step context where the conversation lives.
  • Searchable — filter by Internal Comments or Mentions of Me for QA and audits.

How to add an Internal Comment

  1. Sign in to your sub-account and open Conversations.
  2. Click the conversation you want to annotate.
  3. Use the Channel Switcher to switch from the customer channel to Internal Comment.
  4. Type your note. Add @ to mention a teammate.
  5. Click Send.

Drafts auto-save and persist if you switch channels, collapse the composer, or move to another conversation.

How to filter Internal Comments

  1. Open the conversation list and click Quick Filters.
  2. Under Mentions, choose Mentions of Me to see threads where you were tagged, or Mentions of a Specific User to audit someone else's mentions.
  3. To see every internal note in a single conversation, open Filters and apply Internal Comments.

Notification settings

Mention alerts depend on each user's preferences. Go to Settings → My Profile → Notifications and enable in-app and email alerts for mentions and new conversation activity.
